Western Farmers Electric Cooperative executive outlines expected power mix in five years

The top executive at one of Oklahoma’s biggest electric cooperatives expects power it provides to the Southwest Power Pool will become considerably greener within the next five years. 

Gary Roulet, Western Farmers Electric Cooperative’s CEO, told about 100 people at its emerging technology conference in Oklahoma City on Tuesday he expects nearly half the power the generating cooperative has the ability to sell to the pool will be from renewable sources by 2024. (The Oklahoman)
