Urban gardens planted to feed downtown Mansfield

Four farms were opened to the public in Mansfield on Friday evening in the middle of an area considered to be a food desert. The farms are members of the Richland Gro-Op Cooperative and will occupy eight high-tunnel greenhouses that were built with federal grant dollars at the former Gorman-Rupp site off Bowman Street near the intersection with West Sixth Street.
