Kit Carson Electric Cooperative members make quorum, votes to allow 18 year olds on board

Kit Carson Electric Cooperative’s more than 22,000 members registered at the annual meeting to reach a quorum and conduct business. By voice vote,  the members approved all three by-law changes on the agenda: the annual meeting will take place on a Saturday in April instead of June; district meetings will be reserved for trustee elections and not KCEC business; and 18-year-olds can now serve on the electric co-ops’ board of trustees.
